Seville Accommodation—Quick Guide

For those who want a quick place to stay without doing too much reading, here are my top three picks for hotels in Seville, Spain.

Budget—Hotel Sevilla Center: This hotel is about a 15-minute walk to the city center. When the weather is nice, you can eat a free breakfast on the rooftop terrace. All the rooms have Wi-Fi and air conditioning. If you’re here during the warmer months, you can also use the outdoor swimming pool.

Mid-Range—Hotel Cervantes: This little hotel is in a restored 19th-century building. All of the rooms have air conditioning, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the property. The rooms are beautiful, with wooden floors and stained glass ceilings. The front desk also offers bike and scooter rentals for a small fee.

Luxury—Hotel Boutique Casa de Colon: This hotel has one of the best locations in the city, steps from the cathedral. It’s also one of the only pet-friendly hotels in the area. The street where the hotel is located has plenty of restaurants, some bars, and a supermarket.

El Centro

As the name says, El Centro is centrally located in the middle of the city. It’s the most walkable part of the city, which draws in many tourists.

If you’re coming to Seville for the first time, El Centro is probably the best place to stay so you can see all the attractions and walk around the city.

The only downside to this neighborhood is that it’s very busy. There are many tourists here, as well as souvenir shops and travel agencies, which makes the experience in the city feel a little less authentic.

Many of the restaurants in this area are also overpriced and serve nontraditional food. If you stay here, ask the reception desk or locals working at the hotel for restaurant recommendations for a more authentic place to eat.

Budget—Posada de los Venerables: There are not many budget hotels in El Centro, so this hotel is more on the lower end of mid-range pricing. It has Wi-Fi throughout the property, and you can walk to many different attractions, including the Seville Cathedral and the Isabell II Bridge.

Mid-Range—Vincci La Rabida: This hotel is set in a renovated mansion that was first built in the 19th century. It’s within walking distance to the Seville Cathedral and centrally located to restaurants and tapas bars. They have free breakfast every morning, and from the dining terrace, you get really great views of the cathedral.

Luxury—Magdalena Plaza Sevilla: For some luxury right in old town Seville, check into this Radisson Collection hotel. Some of the rooms have balconies where you can see the city center below and enjoy your morning coffee. The price of your stay includes a free breakfast, which is very good. Make sure to check out the outdoor swimming pool and the fitness center.

Alfalfa

Coming to Seville for tapas? Make sure you book a place to stay in Alfalfa. Even if you choose another neighborhood, you should at least come to Alfalfa a few times to eat and drink.

Alfalfa has many ancient narrow streets, each with several tapas bars. The best part is that all the bars are amazing, so you can’t go wrong no matter where you choose to eat.

The area is also close enough to walk to most attractions, with the option of taking the metro or tram for places that are a bit too far.

Definitely mark your hotel on Google Maps, as many of the streets in this area look alike, and it can be easy to get lost.

Budget—Suites Machado: This is a great option for those who want to stay in condo accommodation rather than being in a hotel or hostel. All condos have air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. It’s in a really safe area just a few minute’s walking distance from Santa Maria La Blanca Church.

Mid-Range—H10 Casa de la Plata: Just a 10-minute walk from the Seville Cathedral, this hotel has all the amenities you need to enjoy your stay in Seville, including free breakfast, a bar, free Wi-Fi, and terraces with amazing city views.

Luxury—Joya del Casco Boutique Hotel: While this hotel has many things that make it a fantastic place to stay, the outdoor terraces and swimming pool with views of the Seville Cathedral are the best part. Joya del Casco is close to many different attractions, including the Plaza de Espana, which is only a mile away.

Barrio Santa Cruz

Santa Cruz is one of the best places to stay in Seville for those who want to be close to everything but away from the hustle and bustle of El Centro. It’s still a pretty busy neighborhood, but since it’s a little further from the city center, there are fewer tourist traps and more locals.

Since the area is still popular with tourists, the hotels and hostels are a little pricier. However, you are paying for a prime location, and you can save money on transport since you can walk most places.

Budget—Black Swan Hostel Sevilla: If you want to stay in a hostel and meet other travelers, the Black Swan Hostel is a great choice in the city center. They have air conditioning and free Wi-Fi. Check out the lounge area on the roof, where you can get great city views.

Mid-Range—Hotel Casa 1800 Sevilla: I recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a solid mid-range option with endless amenities. If possible, ask for a room with a balcony, as they offer great views of the city. The hotel’s bike rental options are super affordable and a great way to explore the city.

Luxury—Hotel Alfonso XIII: The rooms in this hotel are absolutely stunning, and the amenities are made to make you feel like royalty. The pool is also incredible, and it has an outdoor restaurant and bar. The cocktail bar on-site also serves tapas every evening.

Triana

This is one of the best neighborhoods in Seville, Spain, for those who want a more local and authentic vibe while still being just a metro or bus ride away from the city center.

The area is much less touristy, so that you can experience Seville in a more traditional way. Don’t worry; this area has plenty of tapas bars and some of the best Seville nightlife.

Budget—Ribera de Triana Hotel: Many people love this budget hotel for the rooftop pool. The rooms are bright and big. You can enjoy the gym or make an appointment at the spa. The hotel has amazing river views, and you can reach the Seville Cathedral in about 20 minutes.

Mid-range—Monte Triana: I love this hotel because it’s right in the middle of Triana, but you can still get to El Centro in about 15 minutes. The hotel has an outdoor swimming pool and a fitness center. It also has a small cafe on-site and offers free breakfast.

Luxury—Eurostars Torre Sevilla: The best part about this hotel is the floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer panoramic views of the city. It also has many on-site amenities, including a spa, a restaurant, and a gym.

How to Get to Seville
