2020 is not a great year for travel lovers. I think we can say with complete certainty that it’s not even a good year for travel lovers, or for most of the world, for that matter. It pretty much @#$%s. For those of us clinging to our last vestiges of sanity, a hope for a better future is where it’s at right now. With that in mind and tis the season for giving, I’d like to share some great gifts for travel lovers.
Yes, some of these may even be on my list (hint, hint)!

I Haven’t Been Everywhere But It’s on My List Shirt
It’s funny, as a friend just messaged me a picture of an item with this quote on it just the other day. He thought of me when he saw it, and yep! It makes total sense to me. It probably will to your travel-loving friends as well.

Here is another fun tee option as well, in case you’re interested in one for yourself too. Or, if you love this quote but would rather something different, no problem! Here it is on a mug.

If you know someone who loves to share their trip photos, this may be the perfect gift. Scrapbookers will also rejoice when they see this one. Capture your photo memories and other things you want to keep in this cute scrapbook to keep those memories alive forever.

Part list, part wall art. You get a little of both with this cute gift. If you’re road-tripping this year in the U.S. (and who in the U.S. isn’t?) consider seeing the United States National Parks. And when you do, get this to keep track of where you have been. There’s 62 in all and it’s a bucket-list worthy adventure to see them all.

Inspirational Gifts for Travel Lovers
These gifts could be practical travel gifts. However, since people are limited for travel right now, we’ll just call them inspirational. Travel lovers will wax nostalgic for that time when they were traveling and when they will be again.

Gifts for Travel Lovers: Maps and Globes
Most travel lovers are obsessed with maps. I know I am! I especially like maps where I can check off, scratch off, pin, or show that I have been to a place. And I like to check what other places might strike my fancy to add to my (incredibly long) list of places I want to visit. The travel lover in your life may be similar, so these gifts for travel lovers should be a hit!
Push-Pin Map
What better way to keep track of your travel adventures than with a push-pin map. Choose the color you want from a variety and personalize it with some text. Then make it yours by marking each country after you come back. It’s a great way to keep track of your adventures with wall art!

Picture Map
What an incredibly creative way to customize a map! Since 2020 is “the year of the road trip” for much of the world, Americans will love this one! Add pictures from your road trips to this map to customize it to your family. Not only is it one-of-a-kind, but you’ll cherish those great memories forever with this lovely reminder on your wall! It’s a great way to get your kids involved (if you have them) to make something they will always remember.

Globes
One of the few things that gets travel-lovers more excited than maps—globes. Oh yes, they do and for a great reason. We can spin them around with our eyes closed and point to choose our next destination! One of the things I remember from being a kid—my earliest memories, is doing this with my globe. Too bad I didn’t have a journal to note all the places I was planning to go..

Gifts for Travel Lovers: Skylines for City Lovers
City lovers will love these graphic and beautiful skylines of their favorite cities. They can hang them on their wall and remember what great times they had. Or, provide inspiration for a place they want to go.
City Skyline
Who doesn’t love to see the skyline of their favorite city on their wall to remember those good times? Ok, maybe we all don’t love this, but city lovers sure will! Get a picture (or three!) of their favorite cities so they can decorate their home with a wonderful reminder of their travels.

Watercolor City Skyline
This shop offers some really interesting work! They have these skyline images, which are really interesting! Then they offer them on mugs as well. But not to be outdone, they also have a grouping of three images instead of the one. So, if you want a little variety and something a bit different, this is a great gift to consider.

Cartoonish City Skyline
For something a little different than your ordinary city skyline, 88 Prints offers some fun, almost cartoonish-looking ones. They are different than the others you’ll see and they’re a super-affordable gift.

City Watercolors
Wow. Just wow. These are incredibly beautiful! I had a really tough time picking one to display in this post. They are all truly beautiful. I recommend you go to this shop immediately, and pick a couple of these pictures for your travel-lover and a couple for yourself. And if you want to send me some, I’m happy to share my address.

Gifts for Travel Lovers: Souvenir Collectors
What do you collect on your travels? Me? I collect magnets and the side of my fridge is covered with them! My friends tease me that someday my fridge will start begging for mercy and may just fall over.
People collect all sorts of things when they travel. A perfect gift for travel lovers is something that they can showcase their collection. Some of the most common, from my completely unscientific poll are keychains and postcards. There are some cute and creative ways to display them that you might not have thought of! (I know I hadn’t!)
Keychain Display
This metal tower comes in three different colors and offers two levels to show off your treasures. And you can spin this around and take a look at your collection. Er, I mean the person you gift this to can. Whoops.
Here’s another great option in a different style.
Postcard Display
There are a number of options for postcard displays, depending on personal preference. This Umbra Hangit Display is a cute way to show a photo collage or postcard collage. You can mix it up and swap postcards out to have fun.
There are different styles like this one or this one on a wood background. Or, if you have a seriously large amount of postcards to display, this one may just do the trick.
Travel Collector’s Box
Maybe printed pictures are your thing or maybe you like to collect some reminders of your travels including tickets, a dried flower, or other items. This box will keep your travel memories safe and together. Customize it to really make it your own.

Last, but not least, if you’re looking for something travel-inspired but have absolutely no clue what to get, check out the WanderCollective shop. It has a lot of fun and different things to choose from with fun travel quotes including wall art, mugs, and more.
It has been a tough year for those who love travel as many of us are grounded from doing something we love. These thoughtful and useful gifts for travel lovers may take the sting out of it for when we can travel again and I’m sure they will be appreciated.
